HOTEL POLICIES
Cancellations 14–8 days prior to arrival – 100% of the full rate is refundable.
Cancellations 0–7 days prior arrival, premature departures or no-show – 75% of the full rate is refundable.
Cancellations must be in writing. No verbal cancellations will be accepted. Any other cancellations should be done via the channel or website you booked with.
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival – deposit refunded (minus administration fees).
Cancellations 29 days prior – 25% of the full rate payable.
Cancellations 14 days prior – 50% of the full rate payable (forfeit deposit).
Cancellations 0–7 days prior – 75% of the full rate payable.

Note: Cancellations due to fear of contracting COVID-19 or comorbidities are not legitimate grounds for waived fees.
The proprietor is not liable for loss, damages, or injury. Guests are responsible for the safety of personal possessions.
Guests must produce receipt at entry for security purposes. Umhlanga Apart Hotel reserves the right of admission.
Guests may cancel without penalty if travel restrictions are imposed by South Africa or guest’s country, airlines suspend operations, or an official travel advisory/lockdown is in place. Documentation may be required.
If a guest contracts COVID-19 within 48 hours prior to travel (with medical proof), cancellation will be permitted.
If the hotel is forced to close temporarily due to COVID-19, bookings will be adjusted accordingly.
Parking is free and available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis only.
Check-in: from 14:00 | Check-out: 10:00 (late checkout incurs additional fee). Extensions must be requested by 09:30.
Housekeeping: 08:00–15:30 daily. Rooms serviced during this period only.
Quiet hours: Strictly no noise and no visitors after 22:00. Smoking is prohibited except in designated areas. Tampering with smoke alarms will incur R1000 penalty.
Damaged/stained items will be charged for. Any dissatisfaction must be reported at check-in. Room changes not allowed after 10 minutes of occupancy.
Overcrowding is prohibited. Extra guests pay full night’s rate. Guests must wear appropriate attire in public areas.
No refunds on cancellations or early departures. No pets (except service animals), hubbly bubbly, braaing, or hanging laundry on railings/windows.
Illegal activities strictly prohibited. Management reserves the right to search rooms. Offending guests will be evicted with no refund.
Reception is open 24 hours. Rates subject to change without notice.
